WHEREAS, The Ummissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia has
reported in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an
emergency during the period from November 3rd through November 30th, 1957 which
rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Department of
Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia, Bureau of Auditorium, more than eight
hours per day or forty hours pelt week in doing the following work:
operate switchboard, ventilating system and also to supervise
during various events held in the building.
and WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circum-
stances:
No other trained help available to work during hockey games, women's
institute programs, Auto Show and other events held in the building.
This time includes Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
THEREFCRE BE IT RESOLVED, That the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to
pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of
the Council's Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
