An ordinance appropriating the balances
remaining in all items of the City Hall and
Court House Fund at the end of the year 1957,
after all obligations and purposes for which
such funds were appropriated have been provided
for. This is an emergency ordinance rendered
necessary for the preservation of the public
peace, health and safety.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the balances remaining in all items of the
City Hall and Court House Fund No. 25 at the end of the year 1957,
after all obligations and purposes for which such funds were appro-
priated have been provided for, be and they are hereby appropriated
and set aside to be used for the same purposes in 1958 as the same
were appropriated for in the 1957 budget.
Section 2. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an. emergency
ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of the public peace,
health and safety.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
upon its passage, approval, and publication.

The Joint Court House and City Hall Committee, in session on
December 20, 1957, took action to carry forward to 1958 and encumber all
balances in the Court House and City Hall fund for 1957 for the payment
of obligations incurred in 1957-Land respectfully requests that the Board
of Ramsey County Commissioners and the Council of the City of St. Paul
take the action necessary to put this into effect.
