OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK COUNCIL RES%UTION- GENERAL FORM WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Parks, Playgrounds and Public Buildings has reported, in accordance with Section 53 sernara, of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency dur- ot4_� ing the period from November 16 to 30, 1957, which p rendered necessary the employment of certain employees rnblio I of the Department of Parks, Playgrounds and Public IDeent as j Buildings for more than eight hours per day or forty -� -- - - -- hours per week in doing the following work: d December 4, 1957: (December 7, 1957) Supervision, operation, maintenance, care and protection of public parks and play- grounds and of their facilities. And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the follow - ing facts and circumstances: Seasonal requirements for protection of public property and pursuit of departmental activ- ities, such as: Municipal athletics and sports and various other recreation pro- grams; sanding & plowing parkways and boule- vards and park walks and streets; firing boilers for the Greenhouse and Zoo; any or all of which may demand week -end attention. THEREFCRE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who per- formed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Councilts salary ordinance, Ordinance Noe 6146.
