Dillon neTr. --- '18t'"'269 Council File No. 185269 —By Joseph E Dillon, mayor — Whereas, The St. Paul 'Winter 0c. nical is of considerable benefit tq` citizens of the City .of Saint Pp• 1 WHEREAS, the St. Paul Winter Carnival is of considerable benefit'.t�s " °una�, as- the citizens of the 'City of Saint Paul and the surrounding suburban area promoting interest in the metropolitan community, fostering good will and providing a fraternal spirit; and WHEREAS, all organizations, public and private, are urged to participate in the Winter Carnival activities, thereby gaining national recognition for the metropolitan community; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners, by formal action, has urged participation in the St. Paul Winter Carnival activities by all County - Departments and employees; and WHEREAS, there is annually selected a young lady representing City and County employees as a candidate for Carnival queen; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of St. Paul that all city officials, department heads and employees are urged to participate in the St. Paul Winter Carnival activities, including the selection of a queen candidate; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED. that each official and department head is respect- fully requested to select or arrange for the selection of a representative of his department to attend meetings of the,City and County Employees Social Club in the interest of prototing interest in and arranging for participation in,the.St. Paul Winter Carnival activities.
