09-563Conncil File # 09-563 Green Sheet # 3070425 RESOLUTION MINNESOTA /S WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul did approve the submission of the FY2008 Consolidated Plan to the U. S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) on April 2, 2�08; and 7 9 WHEREAS, HUD is requiring the City to amend the Consolidated Plan in order to receive 10 Community Development Block Grant-Recovery Act (CDBG-R} funds being a{located to the City; 11 and 12 13 14 WHEREAS, the appropriate public hearing process for the 2008 IS Amendment has been held in accordance with the requirements of the 16 Housing and Urban Development; now, therefore, be it 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 40 41 42 Consolidated Plan U.S. Department of RESOLVED, that Mayor Chris Coleman, as Chief Executive Officer of the City of Saint Paul, is hereby authorized and directed to submit the 2008 Consolidated Plan Amendment ta the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in such form as prescribed by the regulations of said Department; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor or his designated representatives, PED Grants Management staff, are further authorized to submit to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development any assurances, certifications, technical changes or additionaf information that may be required by said Department during the review of the City's 2008 Consolidated Plan Amendment; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon notification of approval of the City of Saint Paul's 2008 Consolidated Plan Amendment by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Council does hereby authorize the proper City officials to execute the grant agreements and contracts between the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the City of Saint Paul; and be it AMENDMENT TO THE FY2008 HUD CONSOLIDATED PLAN 09-563 43 44 45 46 47 48 49 50 51 52 53 54 55 56 57 58 59 60 FINALLY RESOLVED, that the proposed financing for the CDBG-R Program is utifized in the foilowing manner: Program Administration Summer Youth Employment ISP Neighborhood Cleanup DSI Building Demolition Homeowner Rehabilitation Hydroponics Urban Farm North End Teen Center W. 7th Library Expansion ICeI/Energy Harvest $ 215,584 266,000 57,000 300,000 350,000 500,000 300, 000 67,258 100.000 Total Bostrom Carter Harris Helgen Stark Thune Adopted by Council: Date � 2,155,842 Requested by Department of: Plavm'n � Ec, omic Development B �� � ✓, �'� - „ ' ". , sa ,... c� Form � Form Adoption Certified by Co�ncil Secriftary By: l�� f BY r sr/ Approve y or.
