OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK _ O CIL RESOLUTION - GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONI WHERMAS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reportedy in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from October 1st to October 15th 1957 inc:, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Water Department for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: 1 Repairing Filtration Plant equipment. 2 Working extra shifts at Filtration Plant and at various stations: 3) Finishing installation oi, and repairing water mains and service connections. (4 Taking emergency calls at Storeyard. . (5 Driving country crew.to and from work. 6 Additional pumping necessary, various stations: AND WHEFTM, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: (1) Necessary to do work during low consumption hours. (2) Illness of employees on regulax shifts: (3) In order to give consumers water and fire protection as quickly as possible: (4) Nights and Sundays. 5) On account of scattered work locations.
