Sir: This is in the matter of the application of the Standard Oil Company for a permit to remodel an existing filling station adjacent to the southeast corner of Point Douglas Road and Pacific Ave. The property is described as the west 175•ft. of lot 1, block 30,,Auditor's Sub- division #62. The zoning is Commercial. The property is presently occupied by a filling station which was constructed in the fall of 1955 pursuant to to a Council permit and has a frontage of 137.84,ft. on Point Douglas Road and 119.& ft. on Pacifica The applicant proposes to extend southerly the south driveway approach on Point Douglas Road. Field investigation discloses no objection to the driveway relocation. The plans have been approved by the Traffic Engineer and the State Highway Department. Applicant has also filed a release from the pro - perty owner to the south permitting a portion of the highway'right =of way in front of his property for driveway purposes. In consideration of these factors, the Zoning Board recommends that this permit be granted in accordance with the applicant's plans filed September 6, 1957.• Si ceVe'k r C.
