Peterson, an i employe of the Department of Public' Safety of the City of Saint Paul, was injurarl on_July 18, 1957, when he was WHEREAS, Theodore A. Peterson, an employe of the Department of Public Safety of the City of Saint Paul, was injured on,July­l1 , 1957, when he was struck by an automobile driven by Charles Davis whil he was engaged in the performance of his duties for the Department of Public Safety; and WHEREAS, the City has incurred medical expenses in the amount of $45.00 therefor on behalf of said employe, and the employe, by reason of said injury, was disabled for work for a period of eight working days, being paid the amount of $140.01 therefor; and WHEREAS, a settlement has been negotiated by the parties whereby said employe will receive the sum of $300.00 in settlement of his claim against the party causing the accident, and the City will receive the sum of $185.01 for medical expense and wages paid said employe, therefore, be it RESOLVED, The proper city officers are hereby authorized to accept said settlement, in the amount of $185.01, on behalf.. of Charles Davis, the third party involved in said accident, and that the amount of $140.01 be 'credited to Fund 7 -C -1, and the amount of $45.00 to Fund 31 -G1 -B.
