In MUNCIL RESOLUTION — GENERAL FORM
WHEREAS Provisions have been made to emble all members of the
Public Employees Retirement Association to cast their votes in a referendum
to determine the question of whether or not P.E.R.A. will be coordinated with
Old Age and Survivors' Insurance, commonly known as Social Security, and
WHEREAS The time for such referendum has been set between the hours
of 8 a. m. and 5 P. m. on October 15, 1957; NOB, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of Saint Paul that the
employees under its jurisdiction and under the jurisdiction of its various
department heads be and they hereby are granted the time off from their
duties necessary to enable them to cast their ballots on said date and
between said hours and, BE IT FURTHER
RESOLVED That no employee shall suffer loss of pay for
from his duties by reason of such time off and that the time
the employee shall be at the convenience of the department. i

Attached hereto is a suggested form of resolution
which the Ramsey County Referendum Committee would like to have
adopted to facilitate the handling of the Social Security Referendum
to be held on October 15, 19571.
Similar resolutions have been sent to the Board of
County Commissioners and County Tnklfare Board.
