In the Matter of constructing a sewer in Clear Avenue from 25 ft. east of Hazelwood
Street to the east line of Germain Street; thence easterly along the center line of
Clear Avenue (produced) in Block 4, Dawson's Acre Lots, to a point 315.6 ft. east
of the center line of Germain Street; thence southerly in Block 4, Dawson's Acre
Lots on a straight line to a point on the center line of Ivy Avenue, said point
being 315.6 ft. easterly of the center line of Germain Street - -all of which is to
be known as the Clear- Germain Sewer System,
under Preliminary Order 184555 approved September 13, 1
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is construct a sewer
in Clear Avenue from 25 ft. east of Hazelwood Street to the east line of Germain
Street; thence easterly along the center line of Clear Avenue (produced) in Block 4,
Dawson's Acre Lots; to,a point•315:6 ft.-east of the center line of Germain Street;
thence southerly in Block 4, Dawson's Acre Lots on a straight line to a point on the
center line of Ivy Avenue, said point being 315.6 ft. easterly of the center line of
Germain Street - -all of which is to be known as the Clear- Germain Sewer System,
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 10:926.10.
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 29th day of
October , 19_57 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to_ the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
