FFICE OF THE CITY CLERK CO IL RESOLUTION - GENERAL FORM r PRESENTED BY C...ISSIONE DATE WHEREMS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from Sept: 16th to Sept: 30th 1957 inci,, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Water Depaxtment for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: (1) Supervising,removing hydrant at Wabasha & Exchange on account - of Wabasha paving: (2) Handling meter reading cards received in mail on Saturday. AND WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: J'1j,' _,;Z1w'prder to speed repairs: 2 In order to have readings ready for billers on next business day,,, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized.to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
