ORDINANCE NO. dzz An ordinance,' amending Ordinance No. 6446, entitled: "An administrative ordinance fixing the com pensation' rates. of certain city positions and. employments, It approved January 23, 1925, as amended. THZ COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL. DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That Ordinance No. 6446, approved January 2.3, 1925, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking out Section I, (b) and substituting the following: it (b) ,Standard Range -- The Standard Range applicable to each position in each of the classes, established in Section 6 of the Rules except those classes listed under the headings "Police" and "Fire" shall be in accordance with the provisions of sub-_ section (f)', of this Section I. Section 2. That said ordinance, as amended,, be and the same is hereby further amended by inserting in Section I (d) (1) immediately after, the words "Standard Range" the words "or the ,P and F Standard"' Ranger►. Section 3. That'sai& ardinance, ,:as amended,. be and the.same is hereby further .amended by inserting in, Section I (f) (1) immediately after, the words "covered by," the words "subsection (b) of". Section 4. That said ordinance, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by adding at the end of Section I the. following: rr (g) P and F ,Standard Range -- The P and F Standard. Range applicable to each position in each of the classes established in. Section 6 of the Rules under the headings "Police" and "Fire'( shall be in accordance with the provisions of subsection (h) of this Section. (h) Automatic. Worker (Erecting) Plasterer Plumber Sheet Metal Worker Steamfitter, (2) Eighty -five per cent (851o) of the difference. between the average monthly rate paid by the City on April 1.5 for the eight positions listed above and the average monthly rate paid by the City on the. . preceding April 15 for the same positions: shall be added to or subtracted from the maximum rate currently established for the classes of positions in Grade 43 A of the. Rules under the headings of ('Police"' and "Fire ", and such rate shall be known as Step G of P and F Standard Range 43.. Steps. A through F of P and F Standard Range 43 shall -be computed so that Step B is 10310 of Step A, Step C is 1037o of Step B, Step D is 103 %Q of Step G, Step E is- 103% of Step D, .Step F is 103 %. of Step E and Step G is 1.0316 of Step F. P and F Standard Ranges, numbered consecutively, shall in like manner be established below and above P and F Standard Range 43 so that the minimum rate (Step A) for each range is. 10316, of the minimum rate .for the range next below. When the schedule of P and F' Standard Ranges. has been computed, as herein provided, all rates shall be adjusted to the nearest whole dollar. (3) The P and F Standard. Range applicable to each of the positions . under the headings "Police" and "Fire." in, each of the .various Grades in Section 6 of the Rules shall be the .P and F Standard Range whose number corresponds to the number of the Grade. " Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty days after its. passage, approval, and publication.
