PAUL COUNCIL NO. 1- ` «l!!! ��r...111 4OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK CIL RESOLUTION — GENERAL FORM WHEREAS., the Commissioner of Public Utt -Uties has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from November lst to November 15th 1958 inc.,., which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Water Department for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: 1 Repairing Filtration Plant equipment. 2 Working extra shifts at various stations. 3 Repairing telemetering equipment: 4) Taking emergency calls at Storeyard: (5) Finishing installation of, and repairing water mains and service connections. (6) Driving :country crew to and from work locations: (7 Treating various lakes with copper sulphate. AND WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: W Necessary to do work during low consumption hours: Illness of employees on regular shifts; 13 Necessary to put equipment in service as quickly as possible. 4 Nights and Sundays. 5) In order.to speed repairs and installations: 6 On account of scattered work locations. 7� Constant treatment necessary. THEREF'OREj, BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
