RESOLVED,, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing
Committee therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering
to the Department of Public Safety, Repair Shop, 1441 Rice Street, St. Paul,
Minnesota, 4 - 1959 Model Chevrolet ,1235 Station Wagons, 8- cylinder, 4 -door,
6- passenger to C11AMPION CHEVROLET COMPANY in accordance with City specifications
therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #7414 of said Champion Chevrolet
Company, at a cost of $10,143.48 less allowance of $2,400.00 for 5 -1957 Model Chevrolet
2 -door Sedans, Serial Numbers A57J- 172238, A57J- 171731, A57J- 171788, A57J- 172218
and A5 -7J- 171660 to be taken in trade, making net amount of contract $7,743.48,
such bid being the lowest and said Champion Chevrolet Company being a reasonable
and eliable-`bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to
draw up the proper form of contract therefor, and the proper City officials
hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of St. Paul.
