Whereas, The Council of the City of
'Saint Paul, has duly canvassed the
returns 'of the votes cast at the City
Special Vection held in said City or,

Whereas, The Council of the City of Saint Paul, has
duly canvassed the returns'of the votes cast at the City Special
Election held in said City on the 4th day of November, 19582 upon
the ratification or rejection of Ordinance No. 11322, entitled:
"An ordinance authorizing and providing for the
issuance of Ten Million Dollars (610,000,000.00) par value of
the bonds of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota, upon the approval
thereof by the electors of the City of Saint Paul, for the
purpose of extending, enlarging, improving and bettering the
waterworks system owned and operated by the City of Saint Paul,
Minnesota. This is an emergency ordinance rendered necessary
f or•the preservation of the public peace, health and safety.'
Whereas, It appears from said returns and the canvass
thereof that 88,098 electors lawfully voted at said election of
whom 520409 voted in favor of the ratif'aication of said ordinance
and 35,,689 voted,against the ratification of said ordinance, and
that the majority of those voting on said proposition declared
in favor of the ratification and adoption of said Ordinance No.
11322, therefore, be it ,
Resolved, That said Ordinance No. 11322 be and ,it is
hereby declared to have been rgtif ied and adopted by the
electors of said city as required by the City Charter.
