A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council'
having heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered
the same; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is. to restore the sidewalk on the east side of
Snelling Ave. from Schroeder Drive southwards to the bridge crossing the
Great Northern R.R. Tracks by constructing new sidewalk where necessary and
by repairing where practical

and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improver,e� t� inaci Jnce the ith.

REPORT TO COMMISSIONER OF FINANCE
August 11th , 1958
To the Commissioner of Finance of the City of Saint Paul:
The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration
the preliminary order of the Council, known as Council File No. 188659 ,
approved August 7th , 1958_, relative to the restoration of the
sidewalk on the east side of Snelling Ave. from Schroeder Drive southwards
to the bridge crossing the Great Northern R. R. Tracks by constructing new
sidewalk where necessary and by repairing where practical.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby
reports:
1. Said improvement is X necessary and (or) desirable.
