RESOLVED, That an extra in the amount of $3,590 be allowed
under Contract No.G1490 between the City of Saint Paul and the
Moore Construction Co., said contract for Alterations to the
Saint Paul Public Library, Saint Paul, Minnesota, and said extra
to cover
Second floor - Art Gallery. Take up existing the and
prepare floors as necessary to receive 1/4" Tremco fill
level with terrazzo. Install -1/8" vinyl asbestos the
9" by 9" of Corktone design over entire area to walls us-
ing a reducing strip at coved part of wall.
Main area - fill recessed area with 1/4" Tremco level
with terrazzo. Install 1/8" vinyl asbestos to walls

sides, Prepare floor to receive 1/4" Tremco fill to

Contract No. G -1490 was awarded to Moore Construction Company
for General Work in "connection with the Alterations to the Saint
Paul Public Library, 90 West Fourth Street, Saint Paul, Minneso-
ta.
During: the course of the work under this contract, it was found
desirable to replace the forty year old Battleship linoleum in
the former exhibition room on the third floor and on the second
floor it was decided that in order to get a better job, a larger
area than originally anticipated should be covered, and at the
request of the Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums
And Stadia negotiations have been conducted with the contractor
who agrees to do the following work:
Second floor - Art Gallery. Take up existing tile and
prepare floors as necessary to receive 1/4" Tremco fill
level with terrazzo. Install 1/8" vinyl-asbestos the
9" by 9" of Corktone design over entire area to walls
using a reducing strip at coved part of the wall
Main area - fill recessed area with 1/4" Tremco level
with terrazzo. Install 1/8" vinyl asbestos to walls
with f lexedge $2,055

This is a reasonable amount for the labor and material involved,
and it is therefore requested that a resolution be submitted to
the Council authorizing an extra in the amount of $3,590 to Con=
tract G 1490 to cover the above described ork.
