WHEREAS,The Christian Science Monitor, pursuant to
the provisions of Chapter 365 of-the Legislative Code of the
City of Saint Paul, has made application to the Commissioner of
Public Works for a permit to construct an honor box near
Sixth and Minnesota Streets as is more fully shown on the diagram
marked "Exhibit 'At" hereto attached and made a part hereof by
reference; and
WHEREAS, The Christian Science Monitor has indicated
that they are prepared to agree to abide by the terms and
conditions of Chapter 365 of the Legislative Code; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, on the recommendation of the Commissioner of
Public Works,'that said Christian Science Monitor be granted the
necessary permit for erection of the aforementioned honor box,
subject to the terms and conditions of Chapter 365 of the Legis-
lative Code; be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that The Christian Science Monitor
shall, by letter.directed to the City Clerk and signed by an
authorized officer of The Christian Science Monitor, agree to
abide by and be bound by the provisions of Chapter 365 of the
Legislative Code.

suggestions.
I am entirely in favor of 'installing the honor box for The
Christian Science Monitor in the area of the public sidewalk adiacent
to the door leading to the reading room'. to use the words of your good
letter.
I feel sure that your suggestion will be both feasible and
acceptable by the Board of Directors of my church.
I will be happy to receive from you full instructions as to
how and when we may proceed with the installation, and I know that
the Board of Directors will be very pleased to comply with the
ordinance requirements for said installation.
