Peterson— Resolved, That the proper city offi- cers are hereby authorized to pay certain employes in the Department of Parks, Playgrounds & Public Build- ings for extra employment as described in the resolution. Adopted by the Council October 1, 1958. Approved October 1, 1958. (October 4; 1958) WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Parks, Playgrounds and — Public Buildings has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from September 16 to 30, 1,958, which rendered necessary the employ - ment of certain employees of the Department of Parks, Playgrounds and Public Buildings for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the follbwlng work: Expediting the services of the City Architect's office and completing the payroll. And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances Extraordinary, heavy demand for the development of bond issue projects and acceleration in work schedule demanded by new requirements. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED., That the proper city officers are hereby. authorized to pay the employees who per- formed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Councilts salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
