of St. Paul Structural Steel Co. for permit to build a 6 -ft. high fence with
three strands of barbed wire turned into the company's property, on the general

attached letter of the City Architect.

and grants permission for it to be erected.

Honorable City Council:
The St. Paul Structural Steel Company hereby petitions the St.Paul
City Council for permission to build a fence as described below on the
St. Paul Structural Steel Companyis property.
The.proposed fence shall be a seventy -two (72) inch chain link fence
'topped by, 'three (3) strands of barbed wire supported on arms turned into
'the company's property.
The proposed fence shall be located along lines shown on the enclosed
plot plan in red and described as follows: from a gate across the vacated
portion of Sims Avenue east of Agate Street westerly approximately 90 feet
to the Agate Street property line; thence along the property line northerly
approximately 300 feet to Case Avenue; thence along the property line
easterly approximately 90 feet to a point opposite the warehouse shown on
the plot plan,; and thence southerly approximately 40 feet to the northwest
corner of the warehouse.
The St. Paul Structural Steel Company would like to call the following
facts to the attention of the City Council for their consideration with
respect to this petition:
First that the St. Paul Structural Steel Company owns all the property
fronting on the east side of Agate Street from Cayuga Avenue on the north-
to Case Avenue on the south.
Second that Sims Avenue has been vacated east of Agate Street to the
Soo Line Tracks.
Third that Case Avenue east of Agate Street to the Soo Line tracks is
an unimproved street, which has been vacated to the Soo Line Railroad.
