Parks, Playground and Public Buildings, and upon the favorable
recommendation of the Board of Zoning, permission id hereby
given to said Julius Zimmerman and Frank N. Antoncich to
extend a non- conforming building at 939 E. Third Street, adjacent
to the northeast corner of E. Third and Forest Streets, described
as Lot 18, Richard
McCarrick's Subdivision of Block 88 of Lyman
Dayton's Addition,
so as to permit the use of the basement of said
premises by the applicants as an office and salesroom, and subject
to such use only.

The City Council requested that you prepare a resolution granting the
attached appeal of Julius C. Zimmerman and Frank M. Antoncich, owners
of Electriglas Radiant Heat to extend a non - confirming building at
939 E. Third St., subject to the condition that the appeal be granted
limited, however, to the uses outlined in the letter of Herbert C.
Wieland hereto attached'.

This is in the matter of the appeal of Julius Zimmerman and Frank N. Antongich
owners of Electriglas Radiant Heat to extend a non - conforming building located
at 939 E. Third Street.' This property -isf located adjacent to the northeast
corner of E. Third Street and Forest Street and is described as Lot 18, Richard
McCarrick's Subdivision of Block 88 of _Lyman Dayton's Addition. This property
has been zoned as "B ""residence since 1922.
There is a non - conforming 'commercial building located on this property which
is being used as a grocery store and barber shop on the first floor and a
residence on the second floor.
The applicant desires to expand.this building by adding a building approximately
6' by 8' on the east side. Tbis addition would enclose a stairway to the
basement,of this building where an office and salesroom for Electriglas Radiant
Heating would be located.
Field investigation discloses that the proposed addition and consequent uses of
this property would not be detrimental to the adjacent property. The applicant
has submitted a petition signed by ten out of.fourteen owners within 100' of
the site in favor of this application.
The Board of Zoning finds no objection to this proposal from the standpoint of
adjacent land use and recommends that this appeal be granted, limited, however,
to the uses outlined above.
