RESOLVED, that Sun Ray Bowl be permitted to install and
operate a 177 -car customer parking -lot on the west side of .
McKnight Road between Hudson Road and the Water Department Tower,
in connection with a bowling center adjacent thereto, on property
described as follows:
All that part of Tract B Registered Land Survey
No. 91, pn file in the office of the Registrar
of Titles within and for Ramsey County, Minnesota,
within tract described as follows: Begiming at a
point - -on the east line of Section 35, Township 29
North, Range 22 West, distant 1005.23' north of the
SE corner of said Section 35, Thence continuing
north along said east line of Section 35 a distance
of 332.351, thence westerly by a deflection angle
of 890 35' 45" to the left a distance of 313.00',
thence southerly by a deflection angle of 90° 24' 15"
to the left a distance of 340.361, thence easterly
by a deflection angle of 910 03' 30" to the left a
distance.of 313.04' to the point of beginning,
in accordance with applicant's plans approved August 7, 1958 and

subject to compliance with the provisions of all ordinances governing
the operation of parking lots, and subject to the further condition
that sidewalks abutting said premises-be kept clean and free of ice

The City Council requested that you prepare a resolution granting the attached
application of Sun Ray Bowl for permit to install and operate a 177 -car customer
parking lot on the west side of McKnight Road between Hudson Road and the Water
Department Tower, in connection with a bowling center adjacent thereto, on the
property described in the attached letter of the Zoning Board, in accordance with
applicant's plans approved August 7, 1958•

operate a customer parking 'lot for 177 cars in connection with a Bowling
Center located on'the west side of McKnightRoad between the HudsonRoad
and the Water Department Tower. The property is described as: all that
part of Tract` B Registered Land; Survey No. 91 on filq; in the office of
Registrar of Titles within andor Ramsey County, Minnesota within tract
described as follows: Beginning at a point on the East line of Se tion 35,
Township 29 North, Range 22 lest,' distant 1005.23' north of the S. corner

f said Section 35, thence continuing North along said East lin% of Section
35 a distance of 332.35', thence westerly by a deflection angle of 89035'45"
to the.left',a distance of 313.00', thence southerly by a deflection angle
of 90024'15" to the left a distance of 340.36', thence easterly by a de
fl,ection angle of 91603'30" to the left a distance of 313.04' to the point
of beginning. The zoning is Commercial.
The adjaceni. land uses areas follows: north and adjoining is Water De-
partment property with a standpipe; east across McKnight. Road is the
Minnesota Mining Research Center; south and adjoining is undeveloped
commercially zoned property; farther west is the Sunray Shopping Center.
The area under consideration has a'frontage of 333,.19':along McKnight
-Road and extends westerly to a depth of 280' with an area of 58,974
square feet.
The proposed Layout and operation of the parking area.have' -been approved
by the Traffic Engineer and the City Architect, and the plans meet exist- .
ing standards for this type of facility. Field investigation discloses
no objection from the standpoint of adjacent land use or traffic.
In consideration of these factors, the Board of Zoning recommends that
this permit to install and operate a 177 car customer parking lot be
granted in accordance with applicant'slplans approved August 7,'1958.

Minneapolis; Minnesota dated July 30, 1958 and numbered 4- 511- 5323 -2.
We represent the owners of the property immediately adjoining the
proposed parking, lot on the west as well as a. portion of a property adjoining
the property on, the southwest corner of the, proposed parking lot. We have
no objections to. this. parking lot being built following the plan referred to
in the .above. paragraph.
