RESOLVED, that the proper City officers are hereby
authori zed to enter into an agreement with the Chicago and
North Western Railway Company, and Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul
and Pacific Railroad Company, under which agreement the Companies
agree to contribute $60,000.00, payable in two annual installments,
to the City of Saint Paul, in connection with construction of an
overhead grade separation structure which will carry Shepard Road
across the tracks and right -of -way of the aforementioned Companies
in the vicinity of James Street in the City of Saint Paul, as shown
in detail by the plan designated Drawing 69 of the Department of
Public Works, the estimated cost of the b-_ a project being
approximately $200,,000.00, with the City's share of the project
cost to be payable from Minnesota State Aid Project No. 504; be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Commissioner of Public Works
is hereby authorized to apply to the Railroad and Warehouse Com-
mission for approval of the plans and specifications for the con-
struction of the aforementioned overhead grade separation structure.
