R11EREAS,The Commissioner of Public Safety has reported, in accord-
ance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an
emergency during the period from May 1, 1959 to May 319 1959, which
rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the De-
partment of Public Safety for more than eight hours per day, or
forty hours per week, in doing the following works
Maintenance work in the Bureau of Building Maintenance
and WRZ11ilzjAS„ this emergency arose by reason of the following facts
and circumstances:
Cleaning and remodeling second floor of Public Safety
Building
T1FORE Rm IT RESOLVED: That the proper city officers are hereby
authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accord,'
ante with the provision of the Council's Salary Ordinance Ro. 6446.
