In the Matter of condemning and taking for the site of a future East Side Armory the
following described parcel of land: Subject to sewer easement, Maryland Avenue and
Hazelwood Street, and except the West 100 ft. of the North 154.38 ft.; the East 2 of
the Northeast u of the Northeast 1 of the Northwest 1 of Section 27, Township ° -2g,
Range 22,
under Preliminary Order 1874$0 approved May 15, 1958
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above,: improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is condemn and take for
the site of''a future East.Side Armory the following described parcel of land: Subject
to sewer easement, Maryland Avenue and Hazelwood Street, and except the West 100 ft. of
the North 154.38 ft.; the East 2 of the Northeast L of the Northeast 4 of the Northwest k
of Section 27, Township 29, Range 22,
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $15,000.00
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 17th day of
June , 19--5-8, at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City :Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to, the persons and in the manner provided by. the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
