RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor and hereby awards contract for the Surfacing of Kellogg Blvd, from Sibley
Street to Wabasha Street; Marshait Avenue from Cretin Avenue to Marshall Avenue
Bridge; Tenth Street from Wabasha Street to College Avenue; Rice Street from College
Avenue to Summit Avenue; Rice-Street from N. P. Bridge to Larpenteur Avenue; Ramsey
Street from W. 7th Street to Sherman Street; Sherman Street from Ramsey Street to
Exchange Street; Exchange Street from Sherman Street to Eagle Street; Exchange Street
Ramp from Eagle Street to Keliogg Blvd.; University Avenue from Rice to Park Street
to THORNTON BROTHERS COMPANY in accordance with City plans and specifications there-
for hereto attached and the in
Bid #7062`of said Thornton Brothers for the con-
tract price of approximately $115,485.68 (fina'li payment to contractor to be determined
by amount of each of the unit items actually completed and the unit prices bid) -
(plus $9,239.00 Engineering and plus $2,310.00 for Inspettion - by City Forces),
such bid being the lowest and said Thornton Brothers Company being a reasonable and'
reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw ,
proper .form of contract therefor, and the proper City officials hereby are authorized
to execute'said contract on behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
