A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council
having heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered
the same; therefore, 'be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is. restore the sidewalk on both sides of Princeton Ave.
from Prior Ave. to Kenneth St. by constructing new sidewalk where necessary and by
repairing where practical.,
and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

To the Commissioner of Finance of the City of Saint Paul:
The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration
the preliminary order of the Council, known as Council File No. 186,55o ,
approved March 13th. , 19.5L_, relative to the restoration of the
sidewalk on both sides of Princeton Ave. from Prior Ave. to Kenneth St- by
constructing new sidewalk where necessary and by repairing where practical .
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby
reports:
1. Said improvement is X necessary and (or) desirable.

An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 3250Y2, entitled:
"An administrative ordinance relating to the
Civil Service'Bureau of the City of Saint
Paul, approving and adopting rules and
regulations thereforsx,
approved August 20, 1914, as amended. This is an emergency
ordinance rendered necessary for the.preservation of the
public,peace, health and safety.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 3250Y2, approved August 20,
1914, as'amended,, be and the same is hereby further amended
by striking the title "Third Assistant Corporation Counsels"
where it appears under Grade 62 -A and inserting said title
under the word "Exempt" 'in Grade 70 -A.
Section 2. That said ordinance is further amended by
striking the title "Fourth Assistant Corporation Counsel's where
it appears under Grade 70 -A and inserting said title under the
word "Exempts in Grade 631-A.
Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an
emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of
the public peace, health and safety.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force upon its passage, approval and publication.
