A request was submitted for Human Resources to study the composite duties o£Duplicaring Shop Manager to determine the
appropriate classification and compensation. Human Resources determined the Duplicating Shop Manager classificarion should be
revised with signiFicant high-level responsibilities and an updated tiHe to Pzint Services Operations Manager. In addition, Human
Resources determined the appropriate compensation is in Grade 018 of Saint Paul Supervisors Organization, B.U. 09.
Advantages If Approved:
Appropriate compensation will be assigned to the classification in accordance with the City's job evaluation system.

Title Change for Jeff Pluff, currently in the title of Dupiicating Shop Manager, Grade 14, Salary
Schedule SPSQ Sargaining Unit 09.
A job study by Michelle LeBow, HR Consultant recommended that his position is working at the
classification level of Grade 18, Salary Schedule SPSO, Bargaining Unit 9.
Can fhis purchase be delayed untit lafer in 2009? lf so, how long can it be delayed?
This promotion will be delayed because of the fact that it needs to get OFS approval before it can
move on for the 20 day notice and the Council resolution.
Can this purchase be delayed untii 2010? No
What is the sesvice or business impact of delaying this purchase until later in the year or until
next year?
This study was requested in July of 2008 and the study result was finished in September of 2008.
I recommend approval of this request at this time because it will several more months before it's
finai{y approved. This is the first step.
