RESOLVED FURTHER, that this resolution and the permission and
authority thereby provided to be granted by said City unto said County shall
be dependent for operative effect upon the adoption by said Board of County
Commissioners of its resolution accepting this resolution and bindigg bdid
County to compliance with all provisions, terms, and conditions of the same
and the filing of a duly certified copy of said Board resolution in the office
of the Citsy�Clerk within the period of 30 days next after the publication of
this resolution; such permission and authority, nevertheless, shall be subject
to suspension or revocation by resolution of the Council of the City of Saint .
Paul for good cause shown.

I understand that,`in the past, Lake Como has risen to
an extent which threatened',the dike which separates the west arm of the lake

installation of regulating works might be necessary.
The division of cost of such works was included in the Falcon
Heights Ordinance, a copy of -a portion of that Ordinance being attached to
this letter.

MEMORANDUM
RE: SHARING OF COSTS BY FALCON HEIGHTS OF STORM WATER
REGULATING WORKS AT LAKE COMO
The following is quoted from Council File No. 179414, Ordinance No.
10829, approved September 14, 1956:
"- — — said village shall pay such further sum to said City
as shall represent its proportionate share of the cost of
installation by said City of any necessary regulating works
at Lake Como, in connection with_s-uch storm and surface
water drainage for the regulation of the flow thereof and
the maintenance of proper levels of said lake, computed and
determined on bases of the several areas contributing the
i subject storm and surface water drainage by comparison with
the aggregate of all areas drained."
