EREAS, the City, Counci3 of .the City_ c f Saint Paul has
had presented to it, under date of April -I.- .,19561, the preliminary
plans and specifications for a new-V6rkYiouse;`.Facility, the plans and
specifications for which were pre'sentdd,,td-'the; 7sa d Council by the
City and County Detention and k khouse Facility Commission; and
WHEREAS, the members of the City Council adopted a motion
approving said preliminary plans 'and specifications•, and
11HEREAS, further., on March 12, 195$, the said City and
County Detention and Workhouse Facility Commission did present -to the
City Council of the City of Saint Paul the final plans =and specifica-
tions for the construction of •' new Workhouse'Facility; and
WHEREAS, Section 10, Chapter 353, Laws of Minnesota for
1955, sets forth in part.; -: L1_Upon completion of the plans and speci-
fications for such joint Facility or Facilities, the Commission
shall submit the same to the City Council and the Board of County
Commissioners for approve] # each of these bodies shall thereupon
passia_ resolution .authorizing and.inptructing the Commission to
proceed with this work "; now., - therefore, be it
RESOLVED, pursuant to Chapter 353, Laws of Minnesota for
1955, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby approve
the final plans aAd specifications for the construction of a new
Workhouse Facility as presented to it by the said City and County
Detention and Workhouse Facility Commission and does hereby further
�\ instruct the said Commission to proceed with the call for bids for
construction thereof and tolproceed with the work of building and
b constructing said Workhouse! Facility..
