In the Matter of opening and extending a 25 ft- wide alley from Chatsworth St. to
Oxford St. in Block 4, Como Park Addition, by taking and condemning a strip of land
25 ft- in width across Lots 10 to 23 incl., Lots 24, 25 and 26, and the vacated alley,
all in Block 4, Como Park Addition, said strip of land being adjacent to the northerly
line of the Great Northern Railway right -of -way and lying between the northerly line
of the Great Northern Railway right -of -way and a line which is 25 ft. northerly and
parallel to the northerly line of the said Great Northern Railway right -of -way from
Chatsworth St. to Oxford St.,
under Preliminary Order 185987 approved January -30. 1958
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is open and extend a
25 ft. wide alley from Chatsworth St. to Oxford St. in Block 4, Como Park Addition, by
taking and condemning a strip of land 25 ft. in width across Lots 10 to 23 incl., Lots
24, 25 and 26, and the vacated alley, all in Block 4, Como Park Addition, said strip of
land being adjacent to the northerly line of the Qreat Northern Railway right -of -way
and lying between the northerly line of the Great Northern Railway right -of -way and a
line which is 25 ft. northerly and parallel to the northerly line of the said Great
Northern Railway right -of -way from Chatsworth St. to Oxford St.,
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 25.00
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 15th day of
April , 19-2Q-, at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
