A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council
having heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered
the same; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is. restore the sidewalk on both sides of Albert St.
from Arlington Ave. to Frankson Ave. by constructing new sidewalk where necessary and
by repairing.where practical.,
and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

Gentlemen:
I gave been informed that a public hearing is
to be held March I8th- concerning Preliminary Order num-
ber I85847 which proposes the. repairing of the sidewalk
or building new walks on Albert Street between Arlington
and Frankson.
As the • owner of the grope rty at lthe ' above address
and b¢ing unable to attend -the" hearing -I wish to—take' th'i's
means of stating that my sidewalk had been `in"such`a• hazard -
ous condition for 'so many Years that I despaired of the -
City ever fixing it and consequently went to that expense
on my own for my own protection.
For this reason I feel very strongly against
being subjected to this expense again.
