4 WHEREAS, on April 8, 2009 the Neighborhood STAR Board reviewed the Bamo Tequila Bar proposal for a new
5 restaurant located at 235 East Sixth 5treet; and,
7 WHEREAS, the proposal provides for capital improvements that will make for considerable improvements to
8 the Lowertown area of the city; and,

10 WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Saint Paul City Council to participate in the financing of these activities by
11 providing a total of $97,000 of Neighborhood Year-Round Program allocation; and,
12
13 WAEREAS, because this proposal is of substanrial community significance, a waiver of the STAR Guideline
14 regarding the required 25% cap of total STAR grant dollars allowed for each Year-Round STAR Program
15 project is recommended and,

17 RESOLVED, that upon recommendarion of the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.4 of the City Charter, the City
18 Council does hereby amend the current budget for the Neighborhood STAR Year-Round Program in the
19 following manner:
