WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Public Safety has reported, in accord-
ance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emer-
gency during -the period from April 1, 1955 to April 30,1955, which
rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Depart-
ment of Public Safety for more than eight hours per day, or forty
hours per week, in doing the following work:
Maintenance work in the Bureau of Building Maintenance
and VEMMAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts
and circumstances:
Cleaning and remodeling second floor of Public Safety
Building
TEMPEPOIE RE IT RESOLVED: That the proper city officers are hereby
authorized to pay the eiiTployee•s who performed suchkwork in accord-
ance with the provision of the Councilts Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
