In the Matter of improving Como Avenue from West City Limits to Brompton Street by re-
moving wood blocks, granite, brick and asphalt surfacing; by building up the present con-
crete base with concrete where necessary to bring the surface of the concrete base to the
proper sub -grade of the new asphaltic concrete surfacing or by constructing new concrete
base where necessary; by surfacing with asphaltic concrete the existing track area where
track paving is adequate and removing track and track pavement where required; by surfacing
with asphaltic concrete the present concrete base on the remainder of the roadway area; by

A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council
having heard ,all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered
the same; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im -,
provement to be made by the'said City is. improve Como Avenue from West City Limits to _Brompton
Street by removing wood blocks, granite, brick and asphalt surfacing; by building up the
present concrete base with concrete where necessary to bring the surface of the concrete
base to the proper sub -grade of the new asphaltic concrete surfac;tg.or by constructing new
concrete base where necessary; by surfacing with asphaltic concrete the existing track area
where track paving is adequate and removing track and track pavement where required; by sur-
facing with asphaltic concrete the present +here ncrete base on the remainder of the roadway

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

Dear Sir:
transmit herewith a preliminary estimate of cost for the improving
of Como Avenue from the West City Limits to Brompton Street by removing
wood block, granite, brick and asphalt surfacing; by building up the pre-
sent concrete base with concrete where necessary to bring the surface of
the concrete base to the proper sub -grade of the new asphaltic concrete
surfacing or by constructing new concrete base where necessary; by surfac-
ing with asphaltic concrete the existing track area where track paving is
adequate and removing track and track pavement where required; by surfac-
