%D
WHEREAS, Chapter 2 of the Saint Paul Administrative Code authorizes the Division of Contract and Analysis Services to
dispose of surplus city property and sets forth the procedures goveming the sale or donation of such property; and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Fire Department has received a written request from the Afton Alps Ski Patrol, dated Febmacy 37,
2009 (Attachment A) asking that the above mentioned property be donated to the organization to help it carry out its mission;
and
WHEREAS, the two Stryker manual stretchexs be transferred to such organization for no consideration; and
WHEREAS, the emergency medical services (EMS) equipment has a total estimated value of $500.00; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the stretchers aze no longer �eeded to cany out departmental functions and
are obso]ete, and
WHEREAS, the City Council's transfer of the shetchers would provide the Afton Alps Ski Patrol with means to supplement
their EMS delivery capabilities, and
WHEREAS, the donation of such property to the Afton Alps Ski Patrol would serve a public purpose and benefit the community
as a whole by enhancing and sirengChening the City's relationship with Afton Alps Ski Area, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby authorizes the donation of the above described obsolete property fo the Afton Alps
Ski Patrol, and be it
PL3RTHER RESOLVED, that said organizarion shall take responsibility for removing the obsolete property from Ciry premises
in a manner and in accoxdance with the time line mutually ab eed upon with the Saint Paul Fire Deparhnem and shall bear all
costs associated wifb the removal and transportation of the desi�ated obsolete property and agrees to accept the property as is;
and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that upon the donation, the Ciry shall have no further responsibility for said property and shall not
provide any warranty, maintenance, xepair, technical assistance, or any other kind of ongoing support, nor assume any costs that
may be related to the ongoing use of the property by the Afton Alps Ski Patrol.

non-profit organization, we unfortunately do not have the funds to replace ours.
