PAUL FILE O CIL NO OFFIC OF THE CITY CLERK iCOUN� L SOLUTION — GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONER WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from February 16th to February 28th 1958 inc., which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Water Department for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: (1� Working extra shifts gt various pumping stations. (2 Finishing installation of, and repairing water mains and service connections. 3 Taking emergency calls at BtoreMWd. 4 Making repairs to Snelling reservoir. 5 Driving country crew to and from work. AND WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following.facts and circumstances: 1 Illness of employees on regular shifts. 2) In order to give consumers water and fire protection as soon as possible. J3) Nights and Sundays. 4 In order to speed completion of work. 5) on account of scattered work locations. THEREFORE..
