WHEREAS, The Council of the City of St. Paul has hereto-
fore issued.a stop order for the issuance of building permits for
new construction on the easterly side of Wheelock Parkway between
Arlington Avenue and Hoyt Avenue; and
WHEREAS, This stop order was issued for the purpose of
;halting construction of buildings along said section of street
pending a determination of a proposal to widen Wheelock Parkway
on the easterly side between the limits named; and
WHEREAS, The Council after a public hearing on the matter
of the proposed improvement, held April 2, 1957, determined to
abandon the same;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That said stop order be
and hereby is rescinded, and the Commissioner of
Parks, Playgrounds
and Public Buildings is hereby authorized to resume the issuance
of permits along the section of Wheelock Parkway
herein described.
