Whereas, The Council -has made_ ?.
WHEREAS, Under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 11012, ap-
proved June 4, 1957, the Car Allowance Committee, provided for
in said Section 2, has reported to the Council its findings
and recommendations in a letter dated December 19, 1957, and
WHEREAS, The Council has made a study of the said report
and recommendation of the Car .Allowance Committee, now there-
fore be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Saint Paul that
the following employees listed below, in the city department
or bureau set out, shall be, entitled to and receive the basic
mileage allowance provided for in Ordinance No. 11012, Section
I, subject to the maximum set out opposite the name of said
employee, as listed herein, pursuant to the provisions of said
Section 1 relative to the maximum provided for car allowance
for employees, and effective on the date set out opposite each
name:

In accordance with Ordinance No. 11012, Council File 182842,
and'the resolution contained in Council File 182872, the Car
Mileage Allowance Committee has passed on certain requests re-
ceived from Department heads for the placing of certain indi-
viduals on the basic car allowance plus mileage as authorized
in the ordinance and resolution.
The'`f ollowing is a list of the employees, together with the
maximums to be paid under the basic car allowance or Plan B,
as approved by the Committee, as well as the effective date of
the' authorizations:

It will be necessary for the Council to approve or disapprove
the requests and the action of the Car Mileage Allowance Com-
mittee before mileage can be paid under Plan B.
The Council is also requested to concur in the action of the
Committee in removing the following names from Plan B:
