WHEREAS, The City Clerk has reported, in accordance with Section 53
of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during
the period from February 5th to February 18th, 1958, which
rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of
the City Clerk's Office for more than eight hours per day or
forty hours per week in doing the following work:
Preparing for the election of March llth, 1958.
And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and
circumstances:
The office is required by Minnesota Election Laws to
stay open until 9:00 P.M. the last nine nights of
registration for voters.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officers are hereby
authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in
accordance with the provisions of the Councilts salary
ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
