/// AUTHORIZATION OF LOCAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor and hereby awards contract for the Construction of New Ornamental Lights on
ConcordrStreet from'South Wabasha Street to Ada Street (Contract M -167) to
COMMONWEALTH ELECTRIC COMPANY in accordance with City plans and specifications therefor
hereto attached and the Formal Bid #6832 of said Commonwealth Electric Company for
the contract price of $36,586.00 (Unit prices bid to be applied to any required
additions and 80 percent of unit prices bid to required deductions), (plus Engineering
$900.00 by City Forces), such bid being the lowest and said Commonwealth Electric
Company being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and
hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor, and the proper
City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City
of Saint Paul.
