RESOLVED, That an extra in the amount of $69.50 be
allowed under Contract Number G -1062 between the City of
Saint Paul and M. E. Souther Construction Company, said
contract for installation of furniture and partitions
for the Arlington Hills Branch Library, Riverview Branch
Library, and the St. Anthony Park Branch Library, St.
Paul, and said extra to cover additional labor and materi-
als required to extend the shelves into the room at "
Arlington'Hills Branch Library; this having been request-
ed by the Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums
And Stadia, and agreement made with the contractor and a
memorandum of said agreement having been filed with the
Comptroller and countersigned by him.

Dear Sir:
Contract Number G -1062, was awarded to M. E. Souther
Construction Company for the installation of Furniture
and Partitions for the Arlington Hills Branch Library,,;
.Riverview Branch Library, and the St. Anthony Parke?
Branch Library, St. Paul.
During the course of the work under this contiact,"it
was found necessary to have the contractor extend the . -;
shelves into the room at Arlington Hills Branch Library,
and, at the request of the Commissioner of Libraries,
Auditorium, Museums, and Stadia, negotiations have been, -
conducted With the contractor, who agrees to' do this
work for the additional amount of $69.50 which, � -is a
reasonable amount for the labor and materials ,involved;
It is, therefore, requested that a resolution be submit= - :5,,` =•.`
ted to the Council authorizing an extra in the amount of
$69.50 to Contract Number G -1062 to cover the above de-
scribed work.
