I represent James Investment Company of St. Paul.
On December 11th, 1957, the Council passed Ordinance No. 11154
giving James Investment Company permission and authority to grade
and surface the alleys in Block 7 and in Block 10, Merrill Is Division
of Rice Street Villas upon compliance with certain conditions set
forth in the Ordinance.
One of said conditions was that the permittee complete the
work on or before September 1st, 1958.
Because of its inability to obtain contractors to bid on the
job, client was unable to complete the work before said date and
now requests that said Ordinance be amended to change the completion
date to July'lst, 1959.
If you have any questions about this matter, please contact me.
