In the Matter of changing the grade of the alley in Block 4, Holcombe' s. Addition; Block
2, Thompson's Sub., and Block 20, Moss' Outlots, from Dale St. to St. Albans St. to
conform to the grade as shown on the profile on file in the Department of Public Works;
also grading and surfacing with bituminous material the alley in Block 41 Holcombe's
Addition; Block 2, Thompson's Sub., and Block 20, Moss' Outlots, from Dale St. to
St. Albans St. to the proposed change of grade
under Preliminary Order X891109 approved Sep • mb -r 11., 3.958
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
I. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement,
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is to change the grade of
the alley in Block 4, Holcombe Is Addition; Block 2, Thompson's Sub., and Block 20, Moss'
Outlots, from Dale St. to St. Albans St. to conform to the grade as shown on the profile
on file in the Department of Public Works; also to grade and surface with bituminous
material the alley in Block 4, Holcombe's Addition; Block 2, Thompson's Sub., and Block
20, Moss' Outlots, from Dale St. to St. Albans St. to the proposed change of grade
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 4, 077
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 18th day of
November , 19-58, at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
