Emergency calls .for sewer maintenance (October 25, 1958):- Removing debris from city streets r Tending fires at Asphalt Plant on Sundays & holidays Taking care of complaints at city yards Drawing plans & specifications for grading & paving jobs Mimeographing grade profiles Servicing municipal equipment .Inspecting city improvement jobs Making up sidewalk assessments And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: - Necessity of answering all emergency repair calls, keeping cityy streets free from debris, keeping fires at Asphalt Plant continuously,' taking care of complaints, completing grading & paving plans,-need for grade profiles, completing sidewalk assessments, keeping city equipment in good running condition & inspecting work done by contractors on streets & sidewalks. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
