Dayton and Irvine's Addition, in accordance with applicantts
plans received August 6, 1958, and subject to compliance
with all ordinances governing the operation of parking lots,
and subject to the further condition that sidewalks abutting
said premises be kept clean and free of ice and snow at all
times.

,Dear Sir:
This is in the matter of the applicationrof Richard M. Walsh for -a permit
to establish a customer parking lot on property located on the north side
of Dayton Avenue between Western Avenue and Virginia Street. This pro -
perty.is,'described,as the east 10.5 feet of Lot 6, and except the east
6.75 feet, all of Lot 7 Block 80, Dayton-and Irvine's Addition. This pro-
perty has been rezoned to "Commercial" by the City Council�in August of
1958. `
This property has a frontage of 73.75 feet'on Dayton Avenue and extends
northerly to a depth of 116.5 feet. The adjacent land uses are as follows:
immediately to the, -east and to the west are apartment buildings; to the
north are two homes facing Marshall Avenue;,to the south across Dayton
Avenue are commercial businesses.
The applicant proposes to install and operate a customer parking lot in
conjunction with his business located across the street at 370 Dayton
Avenue. The applicant's plans meet existing standards for this type of
facility and have been approved by the Traffic Engineer as to layout and
operation.
In consideration of these factors, the Board of Zoning recommends that this
permit be granted in accordance with applicant's plans received August 6,
1958.
