RESOLVED, that Wesley Methodist Church be permitted to
install and operate a private parking lot for 40 cars on
property on the north side of Wheelock Parkway between Abell
Street and the vacated portion of Gurney Street, also described
as Lots 13 to 24 inclusive, Block 6, Gurney Highland Park
Addition, in accordance with applicantts plans approved
.August 7, 1958 and subject to compliance with the provisions of
all ordinances governing the operation of parking lots, and
subject to the further condition that sidewalks abutting said
premises be kept clean and free of ice and snow at all times.

This is in the matter of the application of the Wesley Methodist Church
for a permit to install and operate a private parking lot for 40 cars
on property located on the north side of Wheelock Parkway between Abell
Street and the vacated portion of Gurney Street. This property is described
as Lots 13 to 24 inclusive, Block 6', Gurney Highland Park Addition. The
zoning is "A" Residence.
The property under consideration has a frontage of 82' on Wheelock Parkway,
and extends northerly for 210'. This permit, if granted, will provide an-
off - street parking capacity for 40 cars to be used in connection with the
Wesley- Methodist•,Church which is to be erected on Wheelock Parkway to the
` west of vacated Gurney Street. t
The adjacent land uses are as follows: there is vacant property to the
south; "to the west are a single family residence and the railroad tracks;
to the east are single family homes facing Abell Street and there are
single - family homes to the north.
The applicant's plans meet existing standards for this type of facility,
The proposed layout and operation have beep approved by the Traffic Engi-
neer. Field Investigation discloses no objections from the standpoint
of adjacent land use or traffic.
In consideration"of these factors, the Board of Zoning recommends that
this permit be granted in accordance with applicant's plans approved
August -7, 1958.
