OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK Council File No. 189015 —By Bernard COUNCIL OLUTION- GENERAL FORM Resol ed, Pursuant -to the recom- mendation 'of the 'Commissioner of PRESENTED BY Parks, Playgrounds and Public Build - COMMISSIONE DATE *1Q9 -. and that of the Superintendent r7.• ' FY�`.'t3- 'i"s.,...fh - RESOLVED, pursuant to the recommendation of the Commissioner of Parks, Playgrounds and Public Buildings and that of the Superintendent of Public Recreation, that authorization be and hereby is granted for the amendment of the description of the recreational area and Community Building Site as the same is provided to be leased and let by Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul unto the City of Saint Paul under and by that certain lease agreement made and executed by and between them and dated May 9, 1957, so that said description under said lease agreement shall read as, follows: r All of Block 15, Ashton and Sherburne's Addition bounded on the west by Jackson Street, on the east by Wales Street, on the south by Valley Street and on the north by Mt. Airy. Street except that portion east of a line'130 feet easterly of and parallel to the west line of said Block and north of a line 150 feet southerly of and parallel to the north line of said Block and except that portion of said Block lying southwesterly of a line beginning at a point on the 'west boundary line of said Block 92 feet northerly of the center line of Valley Street and projecting southeasterly to a point on the center line of Valley Street 2/+ feet easterly of the projected west line of said Block; otherwise de- scribed in the Final Plat of Mt. Airy Homes Addition as all of Lot 1, Block 7, Mt. Airy Homes Addition, bounded on the west by Jackson Street, on the east by Wales Street, on the south by Valley Street, and on the north by Mt. Airy Street, except that portion east of a line 130 feet easterly of and parallel'to the west line of said Block and north of a line 150 feet southerly of and parallel to the north line of said Block, and except that portion of said Block lying southwesterly of a line beginning at a point on the west ' boundary line of said Block 92 feet northerly of the center line-of Valley Street and projecting southeasterly to a point on the center line of Valley Street 24 feet easterly of the projected west line of said Block, said described property being indicated in red on the plat hereto attached, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof." OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK COUNCIL RESOLUTION - GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONER DATE 'RESOLVED FURTHER, that such amendment of said description will decrease the size of the subject recreational area and Community Building Site without prejudice to the interest of the City of Saint Paul therein represented, by the separation and removal therefrom of a fractional portion of the same not needed therefor and required for another public purpose; and that the proper City officers hereby are authorized and directed in behalf of the City of Saint Paul to execute the instrument. -_ proposed for said purpose and entitled, "Amendment No. 1 to Agreement Dated May 9, 1957 Between Authority and the City of Saint Paul for Community 'Building, Mt. Airy Low -Rent Housing Project Minn. 1-3, 11 which has been approved by the Corporation Counsel and the provisions whereof are calculated to effect such amendment. Dear Mr. Engelen:- As indicated in a letter to us in the letters from the Housing Authority on February 7, 1958, and August 4, 1958, it will be neces- sary to•revise the description of the property involved in the main- tenance and management agreement concerning the Valley Community Building.
