To the Mayor and Council
of the City of St. Paul
Gentlemen and Madam:
The Housing and Redevelopment Authority
of °the City of St. Paul and the Playground Bureau of this
Department are working together in an effort to provide
more adequate facilities for a playground area adjacent to
the Mt. Airy housing project.
The City has previously acquired the
Valley Playground area, and it is desirable to expand
this site so as to include the area lying east of Jackson
and south of Valley Street. The City has already ac-
quired ownership to Lot 1, Block 20, in this location,
and I recommend that the tax - forfeited lands described as -
(except street) the easterly J of Lot 2 and part easterly
of Jackson Street of Lots 4 and 5, Block 20, Ashton and
Sherburne's Addition, be acquired under the terms of
Chapter 511, Laws of 1941.
Respectfully submitted,
Commissioner of Parks,
Playgrounds and Public Buildings
