RESOLVED, that Midway Hospital be permitted to install
and operate a 37 car visitor parking lot on the south side of
University Auenue, between Aldine Place and Pierce Street,
on Lots 11 and 14 and part of Lots 10 and 13, Midway Hospital
Add. in accordance with applicant's plans approved July 31,
1958 and subject to compliance with the provisions of all
ordinances governing the operation of parking lots, and to
the further condition that sidewalks abutting said premises
be kept clean and free of ice and snow at all times.

attached application of Midway Hospital for permit to,install and operate
a 37 -car visitor parking lot on the south side of University Ave. between
Aldine Place and,Pierce St., on Lots 11 and 14 and part of Lots 10 and
13, Midway Hospital Addition, in accordance with applicant's plans approved
July 31, 1958.

Dear Sir:
This is in the matter of the application of the Midway Hospital for
a permit.to install-and operate a visitor parking lot for 37 cars on
property located on the south side of University Avenue between
Aldine Place and Pierce Street. This is part of the lawn immediately
north of,the Hospital building. This property is described as Lots 11
and 14 and part of Lots 10 and 13 Midway Hospital Addition. The Zon-
ing is "C`F Residence.
The adjacent land uses are as follows: south and adjoining is the
Hospital; north and adjoining the remaining front lawn of the Hospi-
tal; further north across University Avenue are commercial developments;
east across Pierce Street is a large two -story apartment building and
parking lot accessory thereto; west across Aldine Street are single
family residences.
The proposed parking area is 60' by 168' feet. The proposed layout
and operation of the parking area have been approved by the Traffic
Engineer,' and applicant's plans, meet existing standards for this type
of facility. Field investigation discloses no objection from the
standpoint of adjacent land use or traffic.
In consideration of these factors, the Board of Zoning recommends that
this permit to install and operate a visitor's parking lot be granted
in accordance with applicant's plans approved July 31, 1958.
